Runners up in Final

Olhao Tournament
Great Britain 1991s played in an international water polo tournament in Olhao, Portugal over the May Day bank holiday weekend. After winning all three round robin games against Denmark, the Portuguese first team and a Portuguese second team, GB played the Portuguese first team in the final. Missed chances and some controversial decisions by the officials contributed to an 11-10 defeat with the decisive Portuguese goal coming with ten seconds to go. Ciaran James, GB’s captain was voted the most valuable player of the tournament.

Thanks must go to all the parents who very kindly financed their sons to attend this tournament.
